This 278.4-ton vertical coke drum was supplied to Shandong Yida New Materials for use in their delayed coking system, a critical unit in deep residue processing and high-value byproduct recovery. The vessel features a diameter of 6.1 meters and a total height exceeding 33.5 meters, with a tapered shell thickness design (from 58 mm to 42 mm) to optimize stress distribution and reduce weight without compromising strength.
Constructed with 15Cr1MoR, a high-performance alloy steel known for its excellent high-temperature creep resistance, the vessel is designed to handle severe thermal shocks, coke formation, and cyclic pressure loads associated with delayed coking operations.
