DPC Reaction Column – Zhonglan New Materials

This 520-ton DPC reaction tower was custom-fabricated for Sichuan Lutianhua Zhonglan New Materials as a core process vessel for the production of Diphenyl Carbonate (DPC)—a key intermediate in non-phosgene polycarbonate synthesis. With a diameter of 7.1 meters and a total height of 39 meters, the vessel represents one of the largest monolithic reactors in the domestic fine chemical sector.

Constructed entirely from S31603 stainless steel (equivalent to 316L), the tower is designed to withstand prolonged exposure to phenol, CO₂, catalysts, and polycarbonate intermediates under controlled temperature and vacuum conditions. The material offers excellent corrosion resistance, weldability, and long-term purity assurance, making it ideal for DPC-grade applications.
