On April 11, the super-large liquefied petroleum gas storage tank manufactured by Weihai Shidao Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. was completed and delivered in Shidao Port and shipped to Angola, an African country with “One Belt and One Road”. These “giants”, known as “bullet cans”, are 8 meters in diameter, 80 meters long and weigh about 480 tons. In March last year, African customers signed a large order with enterprises for 17 sets at one time, with a total amount of 150 million yuan. The company started production at full capacity to ensure that all equipment was completed on schedule. This is another classic case of Shidao Heavy Industry’s product manufacturing services, and it once again highlights the company’s overall strength in the field of ultra-large pressure vessel equipment manufacturing.

There are 17 LPG buried tanks in this project. ASMEVIH-2 and EEMUA standards shall be implemented in the design and manufacturing of the project. Independent analysis design shall be adopted. The material is SA-537CL2 and the thickness is 26MM. The project commenced in mid-May 2022 and was successfully delivered in two batches on November 4 and April 11, 2023 respectively.
