Methanol Synthesis Reactor – Ningxia Baofeng Energy Group

This 311.46-ton methanol synthesis reactor was custom-engineered for the methanol production unit at Ningxia Baofeng Energy, a leading integrated chemical enterprise in China. With a diameter of 4.2 meters, a wall thickness of 80 mm, and a total length exceeding 15 meters, this vessel plays a core role in facilitating high-pressure catalytic synthesis of methanol from synthesis gas (CO, CO₂, H₂).

The vessel body is fabricated using Q345R and 14Cr1MoR, providing structural integrity and high-temperature strength. The inner surface is overlay welded with S.S.347 and duplex stainless S22053, offering exceptional corrosion resistance against high-temperature synthesis gas and potential chloride attack.
