This project involved the manufacturing of a large-scale hydrofining reactor for Wudi Xinyue Fuel Chemical Co., Ltd., designed for use in a high-pressure hydrogenation unit aimed at producing ultra-low sulfur fuels. The reactor plays a vital role in removing sulfur, nitrogen, and other contaminants from middle distillates, helping the client meet stringent environmental regulations and fuel quality standards.
The reactor body was forged from 12Cr2Mo1V, a high-performance alloy steel known for its excellent high-temperature strength and resistance to hydrogen-induced corrosion. To further improve the internal anti-corrosion performance, the inner wall was clad with E309L and E347 stainless steel using precision overlay welding techniques. The equipment weighs a total of 570 tons, with a wall thickness of 212mm plus an additional corrosion allowance of 6.5mm, making it one of the heaviest single-unit reactors in its class.
