Primary Shift Converter – Xingxing Lantian Technology

Project Overview

This 150-ton primary shift converter was manufactured for Yichang Xingxing Lantian Technology as a key pressure vessel in their syngas processing line. Positioned downstream of the coal gasifier, this vessel facilitates the water-gas shift reaction, where carbon monoxide (CO) is catalytically converted to carbon dioxide (CO₂), generating hydrogen (H₂) as a valuable product.

With a diameter of 3.2 meters and an overall length of 15.85 meters, the reactor is built to operate under elevated pressure and temperature conditions typical in hydrogen-rich environments. The use of 14Cr1MoR, a chrome-molybdenum alloy steel, provides excellent high-temperature strength, hydrogen resistance, and long-term durability.
